Landlord / Tenant Reporting Form:
Per Borough Ordinance No. 1796, Landlords are required to provide information to the Borough regarding the tenants living in their rental properties. Please submit this form to the Hanover Borough office at 44 Frederick St., Hanover, PA 17331. The Borough will forward the form to the Tax Collector's Office. CLICK HERE
PA Property Tax & Rent Rebate:
Taxpayers over the age of 65 are eligible to receive this rebate. Homeowners must earn less than $45,000/year in total household income. Applicants may exclude half of Social Security income. The maximum rebate is $1000.
To qualify for the rebate, you must be aged 65+, 18+ for persons with disabilities, or 50+ for widows or widowers as of December 31 for the year in which you are filing. The rebate is filed for the previous tax year and you will need your stamped receipts to file with your application.
This form with the paid property tax receipts should be filed with the state of Pennsylvania by June 30 per the instructions listed on the form. If additional funds are available after June 30, applications will continue to be accepted. York County Homestead Exclusion Form:
This form only needs to be submitted one time. Only your primary residence is eligible for the rebate and the rebate is for School taxes only. The form must be submitted by March 1 to qualify for the school tax billing period that beings on July 1. For 2025, the reduction in property taxes is $322.50. If you see this amount in the Homestead box on your school tax bill, you already have Homestead relief. CLICK HERE for the form. Mail the completed form to:
